Birth date: April 17th, 1992
Hometown: Cinncinati, Ohio

Appearance:Harley's most prominent feature on her face is her eyes. Usually outlined in black eyeliner, these gentle brown eyes are almond shaped and place on either side of a small nose. She usually doesn't wear more makeup than she needs, with eyeliner, a small amount of blush and concealer for those trouble spots. The dimples on her cheeks are prominent when she smiles and her smile lies somewhat crookedly on her small face. Her heart shaped face is framed by shoulder length brunette hair. She has a thin frame and usually describes herself as having the body of a 14 year old boy; some parts in the right proportion and others not. When she paints her nails, it's with clear polish or something light and soft.
She's not too big a fan of big, bold colors but is more likely to gravitate towards clothes, make up and jewelry with geometric shapes and natural colors. Harley tends to express herself with clothes, and she can be found wearing all varieties of it. In the cooler months, she wears a light hooded sweatshirt over whatever graphic print tee shirt she can find and a pair of skinny jeans.
She doesn't follow any specific trends but if you find her wearing them, it's because she likes them and feels good in whatever it is. A lot of oversized sweaters and flannel shirts sit on the hangers in her closet, and she's as likely to come out in a striped sweater and skinny jeans as she is a nice black skirt and fancy blouse. Her style is eclectic and unusal, kind of reflecting her inner personality. While she isn't overly feminine, she will wear dresses and skirts on occasion.
Personality:Harley is the kind of person you take one look at and just plain know that she has no plans of being anyone but herself. She takes pride in the differences between her and others, and she embraces them. She's also the kind of person that will befriend anyone and have friends in different social circles. She doesn't care what other people think of her friends, she only judges people based on the way they treat other people. She'll trust someone when she believes they have proven themselves to her, and then she won't go back on her belief in that friendship until it is undeniably proven that someone has betrayed her.
Harley tends to forgive and forget; you won't catch her getting upset or angry at people easily and when someone makes her mad, it's because they've done something she considers completely unforgivable. After that, she'll explode in an angry rant. When she feels like she has to protect someone she cares about, she'll do anything to keep that someone safe from harm. When it comes to making decisions, she can sometimes take forever, and other times she knows just what she wants.
Harley is and has always been a strong person emotionally and mentally and she doesn't believe in letting people be rude to others. There are times when she has the time of her life around the people she cares about, but other days she's more content to just hang around by herself and think. When she's by herself, she'll find time to practice and use her powers to better control them, because she embraces them as just another part of who she is. She doesn't really think that anyone should try to make themselves act and look like other people just to be like them; she strongly believes in the power of the self.
She understands that people need room to learn to be themselves and won't push her opinions on other people. Her style and form of expression is shown through her clothes and her doodles; she draws pretty much all the time. Almost all of the time, you can find her in an easy, mellow, calm and gentle mood. When she has found herself upset or mad, her rage and her extension of her wrath is very evident and most people don't want to be in her way. Sometimes she'll yell or scream when she's upset, and when she can't find words to express what she feels, she'll use her powers. She doesn't tend to use physical violence, though, and won't attack someone with her fists or feet unless its life or death.
Background:The thing every one finds most ironic about Harley is her detachment from her family. Even though she deeply loves the people she hangs around with, she hasn't talked to members of her family for three years. She was born and raised in Ohio and never really got used to the life there. Both of her parents, John and Martha Keller, worked all day everyday, and she was stuck coming home to an empty house for the school years of her life. When she was 8, her parents decided to come home one day with a dog for her, believing that having someone around with her would make her feel better about staying home alone all of the time. She bonded instantly with the golden lab puppy and he was her constant companion and best friend for the next 9 years of her life. When there was nothing better to do on a day after school, she would walk up to the mall and spend the few dollars of allowance she had on eclectic thrift-store clothes. Anyone walking into her room as a child would find the walls decorated with papers covered in her graphite drawings and her backpack carrying school books, sharpened pencils and her giant sketchpad.
Things were pretty easy for Harley in the respect that life was rather quiet. She lived in Cincinnati, but she was too young to experience all it had to offer and she only had a few close friends at school. Being a B student in every class but art, she wasn't extremely outstanding in a positive or negative aspect. In that way, life and school were rather dull and standard for her. She kept dreaming that something would come up into her life that would brighten it up a little, something that could allow her to really live. She wasn't particularly close with her parents, but she loved them and the three got along well. Life was simple and safe and ... gray. Things would be changed around quite significantly when she turned 15, however.
Most of Harley's afternoons were spent in the woods beyond the park near her home, and she'd lug her dog Benji, a sketchpad and her supplies up to this preserve almost daily. Beyond the woods lay a wide lake. Whenever Harley felt the urge to go swimming, she would notice that she could stay underwater for much longer than usual; ten minutes without air was nothing to her. It all changed when developers moved into the area, content on destroying the abandoned and littered area between the preserve and the lake to build upon it. Arriving at the scene of construction one day, Harley was appalled to say the least. In her shock, she lost track of Benji and didn't notice that he had run, barking madly, towards one of the larger bulldozers. Apparently, the operator of the machine hadn't taken notice of either the barking or the dog and the large looming mouth of the machine moved to scoop up Benji. Rushing forward, she threw her hands up in the air to scream at them to stop. Before she knew it, a gush of water poured forth and drenched the machine and operator, nearly casting the potential pup-destroyer into the lake. In utter shock and confusion, Harley ran back home with Benji at her heels.
For the first time in her life, her parents were truly emotionally there for her as she tried to explain what had happened. Her mother explained that she could do the same and that she and her father had simply decided to lead as normal lives as they could, not realizing that the gift was passed down to their daughter. As they were content to assume Harley would want the same normal life, they didn't attempt to mention the incident again. Harley left it be as time wore on, and the nagging feeling that she ought to do something about her current boring life situation ate away at her until she was nearly ready to graduate high school. The catalyst came in the form of a dark night, a dark road, rain and a speeding freight truck. Benji raced off in the rain into the middle of the street and before Harley knew it, she was left without her best friend and companion, the one thing holding her in the dreary lifestyle she had recently gotten quite sick of. Digging around, for a shovel to bury Benji, Harley uncovered old photos; a woman who must have been her grandmother standing in front of a stone archway in the middle of the woods. the stone archway's arc showed four shining, silvery images carved in; a flame, a tree, a swirl of what she assumed to be air, and a water droplet. This was the Chosen Camp, and before the week was over, Harley's things were packed and she was on a bus. It was her time to make her own life for herself.
