Full Name: Morgan Rose Irving
Nicknames: Morgan, MRI
Age: 22
Gender: Female
Birth date: February 19th, 1989
Hometown: Sussex, England
Orientation: Heterosexual
Element: Air
Play By: Billie Piper
Appearance:Morgan has always thought of her features as unremarkable, but they are the opposite on closer inspection. Her hair is a mess of different colors of blonde, all ending in a semi-dirty blonde color. Half the time she wears it, it's straight with seemingly unmanageable frizzies, while other times she lets it go naturally and it's a tight wave that seems almost crinkled. This shoulder length head of hair frames an ovular face. This face is absolutey dominated by her eyes. These eyes are a deep brown and are almost always rimmed in a dark kohl, with dark and nicely shaped eyebrows framing them from the top. Her nose is nothing to talk about according to her, because it's small and inconsequential. Her mouth loves colors of red and pinks, and contains a mouthful of shiny pearly whites, even though she often complains about the state of these teeth. She thinks the front ones are too big, but it's not noticeable to others as much as it bothers her. Her cheeks usually get a light dusting of powder before she heads out in the morning and a light coat of eyeshadow completes the look, usually in pinks and such. She has two tattoos, one on her hip that says "Billie", her mother's nickname and one on her back of a kite, on which are the letters "MRI", her initials.
When it comes to clothing, she is all over the place. Jeans are usually low slung and light wash, and graphic tee shirts are a favorite of hers, from a red-white-and-blue British flag shirt to an intricate design, she wears whatever she feels is creative. Color is a love of hers, and in the summer she pulls out her pastel-colored halters and tee shirts, while the wintery seasons are full of hooded sweatshirts and warm winter parkas. She has an hourglass shaped body that she doesn't overly flaunt, but she knows how it works and her dresses show off her good parts decently while hiding her self-esteem issues. Morgan has what most people consider a weird diet, considering she is almost a complete fruititarian. Fruit is almost all you'll see her eating, and she eats just enough of the other food groups to be healthy, so her figure stays about the same
Personality:Morgan's almost wearing a bright, cheerful smile all the time. Her laugh is infectious and usually gets people around her laughing or smiling if they're down. She hates seeing people sad and believes whole heartedly that there are two true cures to sadness or anger; music and laughter. Corresponding with her sunny, content nature, she listens to music that's upbeat, preferring light indie rock, especially with lots of piano. If she's on her own, she's usually found with her headphones stuck in her ears wandering around and bopping her head to the music. She can be really outgoing if she's in the mood, but like most people she needs time on her own to just think. If you see a peroxide-blonde just randomly burst into a smile and start dancing, it's probably Morgan. She considers "Morgan" a rather blah name, and either goes it by it or her middle name, Rose. Whatever people want to use. She's extremely accepting and one of her favorite sayings is "whatever floats your boat, dude". When someone gets her upset or down, she ususally thinks of a joke or a funny story or just something happy and she's back to her normal, smiley mood. But when things are really sad or horrible, it can take just a tad longer to get her out of her mood.
Morgan can be random, especially her fascination with real life and not "posed life"; when she's got her polariod camera with her, she'll just snap pictures of people when they don't know it's coming, because she hates taking posed photos. When she's bored she can get sullen and so she constantly has to be doing something to keep her attention span in sync with her mood. A lot of her time spent in her room that isn't sleeping is her playing her keyboard. She's the kind of person who hits the wrong key or plays the wrong set of notes and then can get distracted by another song in her book that she wants to play. Even in this distracted, musically-ADD state, she gets good progress on all these songs in a Morgan-esque, roundabout way. Her positivism can be really annoying occasionally, especially since she tends to laugh and smile too much when she's really scared or really really nervous. It's almost a coping mechanism. Morgan is completely, one hundred percent "glass half full" and "look on the bright side". Problems for her usually resolve themselves because she doesn't take them too seriously and knows enough to get them sorted out before they become a problem. She's a lover of the stars and loves their shiny mysterious nature, and when there's something in the sky during the day she can't keep her eyes off it, like a loose balloon or a kite. Just because she isn't watching someone when she's talking to them, doesn't mean she isn't paying attention.
Background:Morgan was born on February 19th, 1989 in Sussex, England. She was raised by both parents, who embraced their Chosen heritage. Her mother was a light, free spirit of Air lineage, while her father was a gentle, intelligent Earth being. Her parents knew of the camp for the Chosen and planned on sending their daughter there when she was old enough, but they themselves didn't have the time or money to drop their jobs and lives to move there. Whenever she wasn't in school or playing with the other children her age, Morgan tagged along with her mother Hilary to her job at the florist shop that her father owned. Understandably, her father was the best florist in Sussex for his talent with plants. As a child, Morgan always had a gaggle of friends following her around the city, playing in the fields and basically escaping the real world of growing responsibility.
One of the defining moments in her life occured when she was three, but she'll hardly remember it as 'defining' now. Her parents were visited with incredibly sad news; her mother's sister Jackie, who had been Hilary's twin and also an Air element, had been involved in a horrible train accident and died, leaving her young daughter, Meghan Taylor, an orphan. Morgan's cousin Meghan's father had also died before she was born, a victim of a mugging. Morgan's parents agreed to take their orphaned niece in, and instantly Morgan had a playmate that was only a year younger than her to play around with. When Morgan hit schooling age, she didn't seem to really enjoy it. She was constantly twirling her pens through her fingers and tapping her foot to an invisible beat. She was an auditory learner, and was able to pay attention to whatever was being taught even though she seemed like she needed to get the heck outta dodge. She was the kid in the back of the room who counted down the seconds on the clock til the bell rang. She didn't figure out why until she was well versed with her powers, but her kite always flew the highest when she played with them and her friends.
Morgan and Meghan were always close, as both were nearly the same age and they were both only children. Meghan had always had health problems growing up, so Morgan had to deal with her cousin's frequent hospital visits and the like growing up. Meghan was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis when she was two, and had frequent lung infections and constant coughing. Unfortuantely, this meant that she couldn't run around outside like Morgan, but had to stay inside a lot of the time to keep healthy. The doctors treating her gave her medication and she was able to live life semi-normally, but Morgan was always worried something would happen to her cousin.
Morgan's powers hit her full blown around age 14. She had spent the summers running around outside with her friends, constantly having more energy than those around her. One day playing in the forests surrounding the park, Morgan attempted to climb a tall tree to hide from and surprise her friends. She had nearly reached the closest branch when she lost her balance and fell, instinctively pushing her hands towards the ground. When a gust of wind pushed up underneath her and flung her towards the tree, she caught on. She was terrified of what had had happened and ran home to tell her mother. Her mother sat down with her to tell her about how she had inherited her parent's powers. Morgan knew her parents were different and had special abilities, but she didn't realize she had them too. Her mother told her about a camp to send her to, with lots of other people like her. When she was 15, Morgan flew to the camp, her first time on a plane. During her first year, she wrote letters to her cousin almost weekly, and they still write about once a month. Morgan's parents never really discussed with her whether her cousin had powers, but seeing as her mother and deceased aunt both were Chosen, she assumed her cousin was too. Her cystic fibrosis has so far kept her in the hosptial constantly, and kept her from coming to the camp with Morgan. Unknown to her, Meghan has been given a life expectancy of 45-55, and the doctors have allowed her to leave the safety of her town and hospital to join her cousin, but Morgan has no idea Meghan is coming. (This leaves it open for someone, if they wish, to play Meghan, who can be any Element at all ;] )
